Mr. Ron Paquette
Maine native Ron Paquette has been running competitively since 1977. Since then, he has run over 185 marathons, including one in each of the 50 states. He has also run countless other races of varying distances-from 5K to 100 milers. As an active member of the Maine Striders running club, he has helped direct and organize many races throughout the state. In 2012, he was inducted into the Maine Running Hall of Fame, and is known as "Maine's Running Ambassador" for all his hard work to promote running and sportsmanship in our state.
Paquette was born and raised in Skowhegan, and taught at Madison High School for 38 years. He has also been a soccer and basketball referee for many years. He currently lives in Albion with his wife Donnajean Pohlman.
